Domestic Intersections integrates housing opportunities with social interaction, job placement, and community support for its refugee occupants as they transition into life as Philadelphians. The building draws from the forms and materials commonly found in the surrounding architecture, creating a harmonious relationship with its context while still offering unique and functional spaces for residents. Rather than prioritizing maximum efficiency, like many nearby apartments, this project tailors its floor plans to accommodate familial living situations. Internally, the building provides flexible and adaptable living spaces designed to meet the needs of its diverse residents.
